Samsung Galaxy S21 Review: Things To Know Before You Buy

In this article, we are reviewing the Samsung Galaxy S21. It is one of the best and highly capable Phone with great features and specs.

Introduction

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is a beautiful phone. There are some things that need to be said and we will start with the fact that Samsung, after years of dominance, seems to be struggling a bit when it comes to phone quality.

Design The Samsung Galaxy S21 has a great design, great screen, great specs, and a great camera. But Samsung has gone a little crazy with the Edge Display that can be really annoying at times. When it works perfectly, it is the only thing that keeps the S21 in consideration, but when it gets messed up, it quickly becomes a deal-breaker.

Hardware The hardware on the Samsung Galaxy S21 is nothing that amazing. It runs on the latest and greatest processor from Qualcomm, an AMOLED display, a 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, and a 5.1-inch FHD display with Gorilla Glass 4.

Display

The display on the Galaxy S21 is crystal clear. The colors are vivid. The viewing angles are bright. The brightness is satisfactory too. The black levels are okay and not black.

The phone has a Super AMOLED display that is easily sharp. Hardware, Performance, and Gaming The Galaxy S21 features a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display that has 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is a 3D Super AMOLED screen which means that the picture looks like it is 3D when you are watching TV.

It is a good screen to watch movies or shows. The hardware is very powerful. It has 2.2 GHz quad core Exynos 7 Octa processor. We did not experience any lags or lag when using it.

It performed very fast. However, when we played games on the phone, we did notice that the screen tends to slow down.

Camera

I have to say that the Samsung Galaxy S21 camera is good. And that is because of its dual-sensor imaging technology.

The first camera is the main camera with a 13-megapixel sensor.

The 2nd one is the telephoto camera with a 5-megapixel sensor. It is aimed at producing good pictures for those who like to click selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 primary camera comes with an F/1.9 aperture for capturing light. There is a Dual PDAF and phase detection autofocus as well. Below are some photos were taken with the Samsung Galaxy S21 primary camera: The 5-megapixel image sensor from the telephoto lens. The telephoto lens offers a better depth of field in terms of details and the camera can focus faster because of the dual-lens technology.

Design

The design of the phone is different as it features almost all metal-core materials on the inside. It has a well-built phone. The 3.5mm headset is at the bottom of the phone.

The phone is thin in size. The measurements are 148.9 x 72.9 x 7.7 mm, and it weighs in at 153 grams.

The phone comes with a physical home button that houses the fingerprint scanner underneath it. The volume rockers are at the left and the power key is at the right. The right side of the phone holds the SIM tray and the microSD card slot.

The back of the phone is more reflective than the front, which has some textures on it. The camera module is on top, and underneath the camera, there is the fingerprint sensor. Screen The screen is a 5.

Software

The software is just what you get with a flagship model. It is an Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Samsung Experience UX on top. That means you will get the user interface features as well as new enhancements.

Camera The Galaxy S21 comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera.

The smartphone also has an LED flash. Hardware The Samsung Galaxy S21 is powered by a 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor and 4 GB RAM. It has an internal memory of 64 GB.

Storage The internal memory is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card.

Battery The phone packs a 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery that can give you great battery performance.

Design The Samsung Galaxy S21 has an all-metal body. In terms of ergonomics, the smartphone feels great.

Conclusion

Do not buy the phone for its camera if you’re looking for a phone for selfie buffs. If your needs are power and photography, go for a more budget phone. In the end, if you do not mind a dual camera, the Samsung Galaxy S21 is a fantastic option for those who need a phone with great power and a camera. If you’re looking for the best Samsung phone of 2017, you should consider the Samsung Galaxy S7. There are a lot of good options coming out next year, but none are as good as the S7. If you want a phone that does it all, you can’t go wrong with the S7.
